Who are we
Amishk Aventures Amérindiennes was founded in 2016 and opened in July 2017, with a team from Quebec's First Nations and a simple idea: an intimate place where exchanges between people and between nations come before commerce.
In Amishk's own words
Text published by Amishk Aventures Amérindiennes, 2020 season.
Amishk Aboriginal Adventures is a private legal enterprise under the Quebec Business Act, founded in 2016 and having started its operations in July 2017.
Our employees are Native Americans of Quebec.
Our dream has always been to create a friendly, intimate site where the exchange between individuals, between nations is possible. A place where human values take precedence over commerce. We lead by example for sustainable and responsible tourism as opposed to mass tourism.
After security, our second most important value is the authenticity of the information and objects presented to the site.
Amishk, in its first year of operation, was named Best 2017 Tourism Company in Quebec; Innovation category)
About this site
Aventuresamerindiennes.ca is now an independent guide published on the address Amishk used. It brings together, in French and English, what the site said about the place, the stays and the nations: Amishk's own texts are quoted as such, and the introductions are written by the guide's editors.
The guide is not run by Amishk Aventures Amérindiennes, sells nothing and takes no bookings. The prices, times and capacities quoted are the ones Amishk published for its 2017 to 2020 seasons.
Amishk's 2020 season was cancelled because of the pandemic, and the business's own website has been offline since 2021. This guide cannot say whether the site still welcomes visitors: Indigenous Tourism Quebec or Tourisme Lanaudière can tell you.
